Just when you thought the Democratic party couldn’t sink any lower into the depths of its Trump Derangement Syndrome, their radical socialist nominee for Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, has launched a “war” against the White House.
It is a pathetic, delusional, and incredibly dangerous political stunt.
Instead of focusing on the rampant crime, failing schools, and collapsing economy of his own city, Mamdani has decided that the best use of his time is to launch a “Five Boroughs Against Trump” tour.
He is promising to “stand up” to a President he cannot beat, in a fight he cannot win, and he is perfectly willing to let the people of New York City become the “cannon fodder” in his personal psychodrama.

A Pathetic Cry for Attention
Let’s be clear: this entire “war” is a complete fantasy. It is a desperate attempt by an inexperienced, cop-hating radical to distract from his own terrifying agenda.
He doesn’t want to talk about how his “Defund the Police” rhetoric has led to a culture of violence. He doesn’t want to talk about his unworkable socialist dreams that would bankrupt the city. He certainly doesn’t want to talk about his obsessive hatred of Israel.
So instead, he creates a bogeyman. He pretends he’s running against President Trump, because it’s the only way to get the attention of the liberal media and his socialist base. It’s a pathetic cry for relevance from a political lightweight.

A Complete Misunderstanding of Reality
The most laughable part of this whole spectacle is that a mayor has absolutely zero power to wage a “war” against a sitting President. As the New York Post Editorial Board correctly pointed out, the US Constitution gives no such authority to a mayor.
A Mayor Mamdani declaring war on the White House would be like, in their perfect words, “setting City Hall on fire and expecting the White House to burn down.”
The federal government holds all the cards. President Trump and his administration could cut off hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding to the city. Federal law always trumps local ordinances. This isn’t a war; it would be a swift and brutal surrender, and the people of New York would be the ones to pay the price.
A City Held Hostage
The real victims in Mamdani’s delusional crusade are the 8 million people of New York City. They need a mayor who will clean up the subways, make the streets safe, and fix the schools.
Instead, the Democrats have given them a nominee who wants to use their safety and their tax dollars as bargaining chips in a performative tantrum against a President who is busy running the country. Mamdani is happy to sacrifice his own city on the altar of his anti-Trump hatred. It is the height of political arrogance and malpractice.

The Bottom Line: The Party of Performance Art
This is the modern Democratic Party in a nutshell. They are no longer a serious party of governance. They are the party of “resistance,” hashtags, and political theater.
They’ve already tried their worst lawfare with Tish James and Alvin Bragg, and it failed. This is just the next pathetic chapter in their losing playbook. The people of New York deserve a leader, not a social media influencer who wants to play revolutionary. They deserve a mayor who will fight for them, not a radical who is obsessed with fighting a President who is busy Making America Great Again.
