ICE Arrests 65 Criminal Aliens, Including Sex Predators and Gang Members, in Sanctuary State Sweep

While the radical Democrats in Connecticut were busy expanding their insane “sanctuary state” laws to protect violent criminals, President Trump’s heroic ICE agents were planning a surprise party.

In a stunning, four-day sting appropriately named “Operation Broken Trust,” federal officers swept through the state and arrested 65 criminal illegal aliens – targeting the absolute “worst of the worst” who were hiding out under the protection of Connecticut’s radical politicians.

This is a massive victory for the American people and a powerful rebuke to every politician who puts the safety of illegal alien criminals ahead of their own citizens.

A Rebuke to Sanctuary Insanity

Let’s be very clear about what these “sanctuary” laws do. As ICE’s acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde stated, they “only endanger the communities it claims to protect.”

They force local cops to release dangerous criminals back onto the streets instead of turning them over to federal authorities for deportation.

This is not compassion. It is a criminal protection racket, and it is happening in Democrat-run states all across the country. But they forgot one thing – Donald J. Trump is President, and he will not allow any state to become a safe haven for predators.

The Monsters They Protected

The media and the left love to pretend that ICE is just rounding up innocent families. This operation exposes that disgusting lie. Of the 65 arrested, nearly half had already been convicted or charged with serious crimes right here in the United States.

These are the people Connecticut’s sanctuary laws protected:

  • An illegal alien from Ecuador convicted of sex assault.
  • An illegal alien from El Salvador with convictions for cruelty toward a child and carrying a prohibited weapon.
  • An illegal alien from Venezuela with arrests for stalking, assault, and injury to a child.
  • An illegal alien from Guatemala with convictions for sexual assault and threatening.

As Director Hyde said, these are “rapists, drug traffickers, child sex predators and members of violent transnational criminal gangs.” These are the monsters that Democrat politicians chose to protect.

A Promise Kept to American Families

This is what it looks like when a President “unleashes” ICE to do its job. This is President Trump keeping his promise to hunt down and deport the criminal illegal aliens that the previous administration let pour into our country.

Our brave ICE agents are fighting a two-front war – one against the violent criminals and another against the radical politicians who try to shield them. This successful operation is a testament to their courage and dedication.

The Bottom Line: Nowhere to Hide

“Operation Broken Trust” is a powerful warning shot to every other sanctuary city and state in America. You can pass your radical, virtue-signaling laws. You can refuse to cooperate. But you cannot stop the Trump administration from enforcing federal law and protecting the American people.

They will find these criminals, and they will deport them. In President Trump’s America, there is nowhere left to hide.
