In a powerful display of magnanimous, America First leadership, President Donald J. Trump has just shown the entire country the winning formula for making our cities safe again: cooperation.
After his historic federal intervention successfully transformed Washington D.C. from a “nightmare of crime” into a “CRIME FREE ZONE,” the President took to Truth Social not to take a victory lap for himself, but to praise the city’s Democrat Mayor, Muriel Bowser, for working with him to achieve this incredible success.
This is what real leadership looks like – a President who is willing to work with anyone who is serious about saving American lives, and a message of hope for every other city being destroyed by crime.
A Victory for D.C. – And a Lesson for Democrats
President Trump celebrated the stunning success in our nation’s capital and gave credit where it was due.
“Mayor Muriel Bowser of D.C. has become very popular because she worked with me and my great people in bringing CRIME down to virtually NOTHING in D.C.,” the President wrote. He noted that her poll numbers have soared by 25% because the people of D.C. are “thanking her for stopping crime wherever she goes.”
This is the blueprint for success. While Mayor Bowser initially resisted, she ultimately chose to cooperate for the good of her city, and the results have been a miracle.
The Path to a Safer America
The President then used this incredible success story as a direct message to all the other failed Democrat leaders who are letting their cities burn.
He called out Governors Pritzker, Wes Moore, and Newsom, and the “5% approval rated Mayor of Chicago,” for spending all their time “trying to justify violent Crime, instead of working with us to completely ELIMINATE it.”
His offer to them was simple and powerful: “It can happen, and it can happen FAST! Work with us!!!”
The choice is theirs. They can continue to defend their disastrous soft-on-crime policies, or they can follow Mayor Bowser’s lead and accept the help of a President who knows how to win.
Cooperation is the Key
President Trump has proven, once again, that he is a uniter, not a divider. He is not interested in partisan games when American lives are at stake. He is willing to work with anyone – even a Democrat – who is serious about solving the problems facing our country.
