Now, a brave whistleblower teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia, has come forward with a story so horrific, so corrupt, that it exposes the absolute rotten core of the modern public school system.
This isn’t just a scandal. This is a story of a state employee allegedly trafficking a vulnerable, underage immigrant girl for a secret abortion, a years-long cover-up by school officials, and a heroic teacher who refused to be silenced. This is the battle for the soul of our nation, and it is happening in our schools.
A Patriot Teacher Sounds the Alarm
Zenaida Perez is a hero. As an English-as-a-second-language teacher, she works with some of the most vulnerable students in the system. And when one of them came to her with a shocking story, she did what any decent person would do: she tried to get help.
The story is sickening. A 17-year-old student from Guatemala revealed in a written statement that a school social worker had secretly facilitated and paid for her abortion, hiding it from her family.
From the student’s own statement: “[She] made the appointment for me at the abortion clinic… She paid for the procedure and kept quiet about it, not letting my family know.”
Armed with this confession, Zenaida Perez went to her principal in May 2022. It was the first of seven times she would try to get the school district to do something.
A Three-Year Cover-Up
What did the Fairfax County Public Schools district do when presented with evidence of a potential crime and a massive violation of parental rights?
They did nothing.
For three years, they allegedly ignored Ms. Perez. She says they dismissed her and retaliated against her for trying to protect a child. Now that the story is public, the district superintendent, Michelle Reid, has the audacity to claim that school officials only “learned yesterday” about the issue.
This is a pathetic and transparent lie. This isn’t a story of incompetence. This is the story of a deliberate, multi-year cover-up designed to protect a radical agenda at all costs.
An Attack on the American Family
Let’s be clear about what is at stake here. The Supreme Court has long recognized the sacred, God-given right of parents to direct the care and upbringing of their children. This is a cornerstone of our Constitution and our society.
A school employee, acting as an agent of the state, allegedly took it upon herself to usurp that right. She allegedly violated Virginia’s parental notification law and made a life-altering medical decision for a child who was not hers, all while keeping the child’s actual guardians in the dark.
This is the ultimate goal of the radical left: to sever the bond between parent and child, and to insert the state as the ultimate authority in your family’s life. They target the most vulnerable—in this case, a low-income immigrant child—to push their depraved ideology.
